Steve Cates, P.E.
Mr. Cates began his engineering career with Sisul Engineering of Gladstone, Oregon in 1996. Steve was responsible for onsite inspection of utility construction as well as design of both commercial and residential sites in Portland and surrounding cities.
Steve joined Carlson, Brigance & Doering in 1999 as an Engineer-in-Training. He received his P.E. in 2004. Steve oversees the design of site plans and subdivisions, including streets, drainage, erosion control, water, wastewater, detention and water quality. He works closely with cities, counties, TCEQ, TXDOT and FEMA in processing plans. Additionally, Steve works in a supervisory capacity advising both E.I.T.’s and drafting technicians.
Steve is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, in 1995.
